That’s… interesting.
I too have restarts (usually at the 90k-110k seconds uptime mark) but I too do use LYWSD03MMC with PVVX firmware, with mixed versions. Some are 3.9, some 4.2, some 4.6
Do you think older versions may have corrupted payloads that lead to a crash?
If you want (I mean, if you think it’s worth a try), I can update all my sensors to 4.6 too
Worth a try. My ESP32 BLE gateways usually hit the millions-second uptime so would be interesting to catch any issue related to the BLE devices.
Sorry for the late reply, it took quite a while and while I was updating my sensors, 4.7 got released so I started over.
Now all my (11) sensors are on PVVX 4.7 and… nothing changed.
I’m on Whitelist btw, and only my sensors are withelisted, also, the configuration is saved to my ESP32 and even then, I noticed that when there’s a reboot, for some time nearby beacons get published in MQTT
(before MQTTGW ‘reads’ my RETAINed whitelist possibly?)
I’m beginning to think that the reboots are caused by ‘rogue’ beacons (ie: not my sensors) of people passing nearby with dubious payloads in them… do you think this is possible @1technophile ?
Yes this is possible, and we increased the buffer to avoid it recently.
Testing the latest development branch may be worth a try.
