Is it currently not possible to transmit data using SX1278?
If so, are there any plans on adding that to the different gateways?
At the present time that feature is not in my short term backlog of items in the queue. Personally I had moved all my smart home devices needing to be RF controlled to SONOFF iFan modules during covid, so no longer a pressing concern in my setup. I went from supporting about a half dozen fans by RF and moved them all to SONOFF, as dealing with the random RF issues was a negative experience.
