I am interested in getting this set up and am wondering if it is possible to add esphome proxy support into the plug so that I can use it with bermuda for room tracking in home assistant?

You don’t need to, if you have iBeacon on in the HA app then you can track it in HA. I do exactly this at home and at work. I then do various stuff depending on location.
My understanding is that it doesn’t work with apple devices because they use randomized mac addresses that rotate over time. And that the ibeacon can’t triangulate your position in a room. Getting the iphone or apple watch to work I think is the problem with using iBeacon but I would love to know if someone has that working.
