I am trying to understand if I can use a heltec v2 board with openmttqgateway to pick up and forward data from sensors on 433Mhz. I have an old v2 board which is an 868Mhz. Can I connect (somehow) a spare RTL-SDR stick to the board and use the heltec-lora-wifi image to listen to 443 or do I need the heltec to use the heltec-433 or heltec-433-fsk image.
If I obtain an 433 heltec board, will I need to attach a rtl-sdr and which image should I use.
No, You don’t need an additional SDR-RTL, the Heltec 433 board already has a LoRa receiver that can decode FSK and OOK.
