Home Assistant autodiscovery

Install with new ESP32 device and OMG working very well. Problem…been raised before…as I have autodiscovery on, I now have nearly a thousand generic iBeacon, and GAEN devices. Is there a reliable way to remove, or blacklist these?

Thanks

Hi @amellomd,

How about white-listing only the devices you are interested in?

Since both iBeacon and GAEN devices (if from mobiles) usually constantly change their MAC addresses black-listing them is not really feasible.

For removing the ones you already have you might need to clear the stored retained discovery messages from your broker database, from what i understand of HA discovery messages. Which broker are you using?

Thanks. Simple enough as I only have a few BLE devices. Worked perfect/
