Newbee question

Hi.

I purchased a MOES ZHT-S03 smart thermostat, only to later discover that it requires a hub to work. So, I bought a Zigbee Bridge Pro, but then found out that it wasn’t the right device either. Since I couldn’t return it, I came across this OMG project during my search and flashed the hub with the esp32dev-ble-broker firmware.

I now have full control over the hub via the web UI, but the thermostat still isn’t pairing.

Am I on the right track, or should I have used a different firmware?

TIA

Hi,

Your device is using Zigbee, OMG does not support Zigbee.

We support Bluetooth, LoRa, Infrared and RF.

You best change is to install ZigBee2MQTT on a Pi Getting started | Zigbee2MQTT

Thank you for the information.

Before disposing of the hub, what use can I give to it with the broker firmware installed?

I work with ESPs, PicoW, etc. using Micropython and mqtt.

Thanks again.

Emu.

If you have Bluetooth sensors, the esp32 can be used as a Bluetooth hub with the ble firmwares.

As it is, it can be a broker to connect other devices
